You can’t always control how much sleep you get – that is an outcome, but you can always control the events that lead up to sleep and the conditions that you sleep in.

Here are a few things to consider when setting up a sleep ritual:

-minimal caffeine 8 hours before bed

-limit to 1-2 drinks before bed

-normal meal a few hours before

-gentle foam roll

-gentle stretch

-meditate (Headspace)

-unplug

-dump your thoughts

Here are a couple things to remember when setting up your sleep environment:

-aromatherapy

-white noise ie. waves crashing in

-dark

-room temperature at your preferential level
